The Dubai Saturday Club returns for an exciting third season and, with a strong focus on design, it promises to, once again, deliver a fun, informal and educational programme that will bring teenagers from across Dubai’s schools together with social entrepreneurs to make the world better and happier.
Last season we took inspiration from the UK’s National Art & Design Saturday Club and with a fresh approach, this season will prove to be just as innovative.
Thanks to our partnership with the Design & Fashion Council, Dubai Design District (d3), Dubai Creativity Clusters Authority and Dubai Culture, students will have the opportunity to harness their passion for design, as well as channel their creative, collaborative and communicative skills – the key components we all need to live a happy, healthy and productive life.
For this season, we’re inviting young adults aged 12-15 from Dubai schools to take part in the #DubaiSaturdayClub with sessions held from November 2017 to March 2018. Each session will be delivered by community mentors working in creativity and design; entrepreneurship; technology and wellbeing and, working side-by-side with their teams and mentors, students will love learning through design-thinking. The programme culminates with students inventing and creating a prototype of a product or service to benefit our world and all prototypes will be displayed at several key events across Dubai.
The Dubai Saturday Club is free to attend and you will not be assessed, so what are you waiting for? Join us now.
